Charles Barkley Attacked For Telling The Truth About Breonna Taylor!

Former NBA superstar player and Hall of Fame inductee Charles Barkley presented a ton of factual information about the “defund the police” movement and Breonna Taylor on TNT’s “Inside the NBA.” His former NBA colleague and fellow Hall-of-Fame inductee Shaquille O’Neal presented a few nuggets of golden information as well.

Sports in late 2020 are dominated by Black Lives Matter rhetoric from top to bottom. The National Basketball Association is probably the biggest offender. From “Black Lives Matter” emblazoned on the actual basketball court to random social justice phrases scrawled on the back of players’ jerseys. Not to mention radical, racially-charged statements both on and off the court by players, coaches, and commentators.

Charles Barkley (and Shaquille O’Neal) are beacons of light in a sea of NBA “bubble” darkness. A heated discussion about recent social/political issues arose on the “Inside the NBA” set between Barkley, O’Neal, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Ernie Johnson. Chuck eventually made the now “controversial” statement about Breonna Taylor’s case that left some scratching their heads and others lashing out in anger.

Barkley made it clear that he is against police brutality, but the case of Breonna Taylor wasn’t that.

‘I feel sad that this young lady lost her life. I think the no-knock warrant is something we need to get rid of across the board. But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend shot at the cops and shot a cop.’

And of course, the obligatory Twitter mob of angry leftists swooped in to attack the NBA legend, Charles Barkley. The attacks were mostly episodes of outrage and personal attacks without much evidence that would disprove what Barkley said.

Facts Are Always Greater Than Fiction

The reality is that there was a search warrant for Breonna Taylor’s residence with Breonna Taylor’s name on it. Breonna Taylor was, along with others, the subject of an investigation that has been on-going since 2016. The first incident that got her on the radar of authorities in Louisville, Kentucky is when a dead body was found in a car that was rented out in her name. According to the investigation, she was involved with a drug enterprise.

Authorities attempted to execute the search warrant on Breonna Taylor’s home but they were interrupted by gunfire coming from inside. Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shot at the police and hit one of them, nearly killing him due to hitting the femoral artery in his leg. The police return fire and mysteriously don’t hit Walker, the shooter, but they do hit Breonna Taylor. She was not asleep in her bed like many “journalists” in the NBA “bubble” like Jalen Rose said. Breonna Taylor was next to Kenneth Walker in the hallway when Walker initially shot.

According to court documents that have recorded jailhouse phone calls, Kenneth Walker shot at the police, ducked away, then allowed Breonna Taylor to catch return fire from the police. Charles Barkley mentioned that fact, although briefly. Shaquille O’Neal referred to the reality of police officers simply doing their job. O’Neal also said that warrants have to be signed off on and they aren’t granted very easily. It’s a shame to say that Barkley and O’Neal are brave for simply telling the truth. But in today’s “woke” day and age, honesty is the bravest policy.
