Former Vice President Joe Biden recently asked a black male reporter if he has been tested for cocaine and if he is a junkie. Some explanation and context for that statement are necessary. The Democratic Party’s presumptive Presidential Nominee participated in a virtual convention with NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists) and NAHJ (Hispanic) that was hosted by Yahoo News.
Yet Another Basement Stream Gone Wrong
At some point during the convention, a black reporter by the name of Errol Barnett asked Joe Biden to clarify whether he’s had a cognitive abilities test. Biden, clearly offended by the question, replied “no” and then went on to say “that’s like saying yo before you got in this program, you take a test for (sic) you’re taking cocaine or not, what do you think, huh? Are you a junkie?”
Biden made a few more statements after the initial “junkie” comment in the minute-long clip, and not much of it made any sense. Twitter almost instantly went into a frenzy over the clip. And, ironically enough, much of the comments about the clip are focused on Biden’s lack of cognitive ability. Biden even struggled to say the words “mental fitness” at the end.
Lying Joe
Aside from Biden’s clear cognitive problems, he may also have an issue with honesty in general. Just a few weeks ago, Biden attended a town hall-like event in person. He took some questions from the crowd and one man asked him the obvious. “Have you taken a cognitive test?” Biden responded “yes” and said that he gets tested all of the time. And of course, Biden’s campaign is now playing damage control because the two clips contradict one another. The campaign now says that Biden was speaking about being “tested” by people in a general sense but not literally by a doctor.
If a man at Joe Biden’s event asked him specifically if he has taken a cognitive function test, then why would Biden respond with “yes” at all? It simply does not make sense to answer in the affirmative to an assertion that you deny. Context is not needed when answering a direct and specific question.
Tea Pot Calling The Kettle Black
Biden also has a racism problem. Some of the obvious things stand out like the 1994 crime bill and his stance on integration in the 1970s. Fast-forward to 2020 and Joe Biden is still having race issues. Biden had an interview with the nationally-syndicated radio show “The Breakfast Club” in which he stuck the racist foot in his mouth. Towards the very end, Biden made his attempt at a “black joke” by saying “if you don’t know whether you want to go for Trump or me, then you ain’t black!”
Now it’s August 2020 and here we are again with another off-color, offensive black joke. This time he asks a black male reporter, live on camera, if he’s taken a test for cocaine and if he’s a junkie. The million-dollar question here is… why would Biden’s mind go there? Is that what he thinks when he sees a black person? Does he have dementia and is that making his mind think back to the late 80’s early 90’s during the inner-city crack wars?
Crash And Burn
So many questions, so few answers. Biden’s mind is obviously not clear. One thing that is clear is that Biden is totally unfit for the Presidency in his current physical state, politics aside. Whoever his handlers are need to get a hold of the situation before he crashes and burns on stage during a debate with Trump that he is clearly not prepared for.
