Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, may be in serious trouble due to alleged inappropriate ties to Ukraine. Official committees within the United States Government are launching an investigation into a consulting company called “Blue Star Strategies.” The consulting firm is said to have ties with Burisma Holdings. There is a long-standing controversy surrounding the relationship that Joe and Hunter Biden have with Burisma.
Burisma is the largest energy company in Ukraine. Hunter Biden, with no experience in energy at all, just so happened to be on the board of Burisma making between $50k and $80k us per month. He was appointed to said board while his father, Joe Biden, was Vice President. It’s not clear if Hunter is still on the board.
A phone call (allegedly) leaked phone call between Joe Biden and then-President of Ukraine, Poroshenko. During the phone call, Joe Biden mentioned that he is willing to honor the billion-dollar loan guarantee from the US if Ukraine fired a particular prosecutor. While the authenticity of the phone call is up for debate, Biden echoed the story himself nearly verbatim live on television.
Blue Star is a consulting group hired to work with Burisma Holdings. According to reports, Blue Star’s job was to clean up the image of Burisma. It’s not quite clear why Blue Star’s assistance was required. Maybe Joe and Hunter desire to have better images, and since Burisma is linked to them, Burisma has to be cleaned up as well. Hard to tell. That speculation may become knowledge sooner than later.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted to subpoena Blue Star Strategies. The decision to subpoena the company is bipartisan and meant to discover any improprieties between Joe, Hunter, and Burisma.
Senate Democrats including Kamala Harris railed against the measure. Harris brought up The Virus, saying that we should focus on the more pressing issue instead of Ukraine. This is hilarious because when the virus first broke out, Democrats in the House and Senate thought differently. Their focus was largely on impeachment due to the President’s phone call with… guess for it… Ukraine.
House and Senate Democrats rushing to defend Joe Biden is of no surprise. They know he is not in physically great shape. It doesn’t matter. They know he has some serious issues with his past. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is the election. Democrats know their chances of succeeding in the election are poor, at best. Whoever they push to the front right now is all they have. If they back off the gas pedal now, the hope they have now will be lost.
