Most Nikki Haley Voters In New Hampshire Were Not Republican

Most Nikki Haley voters in the New Hampshire Primary were not registered Republicans. CNN exit poll data says that 70% of the people who voted for Haley were registered ‘undeclared” compared to 70% of Trump voters who were registered Republicans. The same exit poll data says 80% of the people who voted for Trump do not believe Joe Biden legitimately won the election in 2020. Comparatively, nearly the exact opposite was true for Haley voters regarding the 2020 election, with 83% believing that Biden won legitimately.

MSNBC did in-field reporting with interviews in New Hampshire. One of the young men who appeared on camera said that he voted for Haley and that his vote was purely strategic to take power away from Trump. He stated that he would not vote for her in the general election. The reporter speaking to the young man stated he had many conversations of that exact nature in New Hampshire.

News media may want to report that the New Hampshire primary was a close call, with Trump getting about 54% of the vote compared to Haley’s 44%. Still, the reality is that it was not very close at all when comparing Republican voters to Republican voters.
