Homes belonging to Sean “Diddy” Combs, also known as “Puff Daddy,” were raided simultaneously on Monday. Homeland Security in New York City coordinated with HSI Miami to raid his Star Island home and HSI Los Angeles to raid his Holmby Hills home. HSI New York released a statement to clarify that these raids were conducted as part of an ongoing investigation. The investigation is speculated to be about sex trafficking, which is an allegation brought up against the music industry mogul in several recent lawsuits.
This drama can be linked to Diddy’s former girlfriend Cassie suing him for an estimated $30 million last year. Cassie alleged that Diddy, whom she dated from 2005 to 2018, mistreated her with years of mental and physical abuse. Diddy and his lawyers initially tried to rebuff the lawsuit, but once the paperwork and details were made public, Diddy quickly settled. This action sparked many other lawsuits and allegations from various men and women. Most of the claims surrounding sexually inappropriate behavior and assault from Diddy. This has escalated into a possible human trafficking investigation, sparking the interest of the Federal Government.
