Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Todd Bowles Gives Great Answer To Question About Black Head Coaches

Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL head coach Todd Bowles expertly answered reporters’ questions about being one of the few black head coaches in the league. There are only three black head coaches in the NFL. Todd Bowles, Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Lovie Smith of the Houston Texans. Mike McDaniel of the Miami Dolphins identifies as biracial black and white. The lack of black men in front-office positions in the NFL contrasts with the disproportionate amount of black men on the field. Some people, especially leftists, see this disparity as an issue of racial injustice.

Todd Bowles refused to take the proverbial “bait” when asked about his position as one of the few black coaches. He flipped the narrative back onto the news media for making such a big deal out of it. Bowles simply wants to coach and succeed in his field without having to carry the banner of being “black” simultaneously. His answer was immediately taken as unacceptable by the reporters in the press conference where his initial comments were made. He decided to double down.
