The View’s Sunny Hostin: Black Republicans Are An Oxymoron

Sunny Hostin, co-host of “The View”, says she does not understand black and Latino Republicans. She also referred to black Republicans as an “oxymoron”. Her comments came about during a taping of “The View” while having a conversation about upcoming White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. There was a question about Jean-Pierre’s intimate relationship with CNN reporter Suzanne Malveaux. There is a clear implication of this relationship being inappropriate due to a potential conflict of interest. Obviously, there are many more conflicts like this.

A notable conflict between Government and mainstream media was Chris Cuomo, also of CNN, working for the network while his brother, Andrew, was Governor. Guest host Lindsey Granger brought up the Cuomo connection which prompted Sunny Hostin to ask Granger if she is a Republican. Granger answered yes. Hostin then said she doesn’t understand black Republicans, calling them an “oxymoron”. Granger pointed to Hostin’s right at fellow “The View” host Ana Navarro who identifies as Republican. Hostin realized she had to keep consistent with her statement so she said she also doesn’t get Latino Republicans.
