Liberal comedian and pundit Sam Seder debated 20 conservatives on Jubilee about a wide range of topics. Some clips from the man-up-next style debate have gone viral, including one about the importance of religion in society. His opponent, a man who goes by “easydebates” on social media, expressed how important religion is as an underpinning of civilization. Seder says that he respects religion, but it is unimportant to his personal philosophy. Both sides of the argument have merit, although spectators tend to lean toward one viewpoint over the other. The perspective of the viewer and listener creates a situation where the winner or losers of the debate is purely a matter of faith and opinion… and not necessarily objective fact.
