Britney Spears alleges she was slapped by the security of NBA basketball player Victor Wembanyama in Las Vegas. The 19-year-old 7’5″ rookie was just drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2023 NBA draft. He has not actually played in an NBA game yet as the league is still in the off-season. His height, however, makes him impossible to miss. The late 90s, early 2000’s pop star Britney Spears just so happened to be in Vegas. She decided to approach Victor from behind while he was walking to a restaurant surrounded by security. When Spears reached her hand out to “tap him on the shoulder”, his security slapped her hand away. This is when things went in a different direction.
When Victor Wembanyama’s security slapped Britney Spears’s hand away, there was some contact made with her face. Judging by the available camera angle, which came from someone filming them on their phone from behind, it looks like Spears was blocked from touching the basketball player when she attempted. A freeze frame shows the arm of one of the security guards fully extended and blocking Britney Spears’s hand. This may have resulted in her hand being knocked backward. Her own hand may have actually been what hit her, not the hand of the security guard. Las Vegas Police say Britney accidentally hitting herself is what played out on the video.
