Major League Baseball (MLB) has announced an essential boycott of Georgia over their new voting laws by pulling the announced 2021 All-Star Game and MLB draft out of Atlanta. The game was supposed to take place at Braves Stadium and it would have honored the legendary Hank Aaron, a prolific black player for the Braves who died earlier this year… just days after receiving the vaccine. The next location for MLB’s All-Star game has yet to be announced.
Outrage toward the new law has been extreme, although lawmakers in the state are not backing down and stand by it. Coca-Cola and Delta, both Georgia-based, have also announced their displeasure with Georgia’s new voting laws. Joe Biden called the new laws “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.” There has been a “dog-piling” on Georgia by the “woke” left and businesses intimidated by them. The reality of Georgia’s new voting laws, however, may paint a different picture than the one painted by ideological extremists on the left.
