A far-left Minneapolis Democrat was violently carjacked after calling for police to be defunded and “dismantled” as recently as 2020 during the George Floyd riots. Shivanthi Sathanandan, the Second Vice Chairwoman for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, was beaten and carjacked in broad daylight. The incident happened outside of her home in front of her children. She was left with a broken leg, deep lacerations (especially to her head), and a myriad of other cuts and bruises. Police were able to recover her stolen vehicle but no suspects have been identified.
After being a staunch advocate of “change” to “help the black community” when it comes to policing, she has appeared to change her tune. She now wants the four armed young men who attacked her to be brought to swift justice. The far-left activist wants the police to take her city back and stop allowing these types of criminals to roam free and face no punishment. This new attitude is obviously due to becoming a victim of violence that a lack of police would make more prevalent.
