Both the Tennesse and Kentucky State Capitols were overrun with protesters during insurrections on Thursday, March 30th, 2023. The protest turned riot and insurrection in Nashville was about gun laws. Hundreds of people stormed the Tennessee Capitol and the police couldn’t do much to hold them back. Reports say that they attempted to take over the legislature. One surfaced video showed people holding up seven fingers for those who died in the Nashville school shooting. Three adults and three children were shot and killed at that school. The seventh person was the shooter, who just happened to be transgender.
The insurrection at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfurt was about the “anti-trans” bill. This will would ban transgender procedures and treatment for children. The “protest” happened during the House vote to override Andy Beshear’s veto of Senate Bill 150. A person who looked like the LGBT version of the QAnon Shaman appeared in one of the many videos published of the so-called protest. Not much attention has been given from the media toward these insurrections, especially when compared to the January 6th fiasco.
