If anything suggests that we are facing a tyrannical police state in light of COVID-19 kerfuffle, mask-covered police officers responded to demonstrators in Raleigh, North Carolina for gathering and holding up signs in the city’s downtown district.
The citizens were responding to heightened social distancing restrictions, to include tightened limitations on grocery and home improvement stores, and other non-essential businesses.
According to ABC11, at the height of the demonstration, more than 100 people were in attendance in what was a “tailgate-style” gathering. Many of the people in attendance shouted out their grievances about the recent mandates, carrying signs to express their concerns.
A 51-year-old woman from Boone was arrested. She is the creator of the Facebook group #ReopenNC, which has an astonishing 34,000 members.
Many people (especially business owners) are fed up with the local health orders doled out by local and state officials. The angst has reached a fever pitch as citizens urge America to open back up for businesses as their own businesses and livelihoods hang in the balance.
