The NAACP says blacks, other people of color, and the LGBTQ community should avoid Florida due to the policies of Governor Ron DeSantis. The “civil rights” organization says that the state is openly hostile toward African Americans. They cite specific policies such as eliminating “DEI” programs (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). The often-repeated misleading claim of DeSantis attempting to eliminate black history courses was also repeated. The accusations against DeSantis come at an interesting time. The very popular Florida Governor is expected to announce his Presidential run for the Republican party very soon. The Sunshine State is one of the most popular destinations in the country with a whopping 1,600 new people moving there every day.
