A black police officer in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin by the name of Joseph Mensah was shot at by Black Lives Matter (BLM) protesters. Mensah was involved in three fatal shootings of suspects over the past five years. The first two shootings were ruled as self-defense and there was no action taken against Mensah. The third shooting happened in February of this year is still unresolved. Mensah was then placed on paid administrative leave most likely due to pressure from “protests” which are truly nothing other than riots at this point.
Riots Not Protests
About sixty or so rioters descended upon his home and started their “protest” off with general noise-making and mild vandalism. They threw toilet paper on trees and on top of his roof. And of course, there was a bullhorn somewhere and plenty of cellphones were out, filming the crime in action. When Mensah came out of the home to try and talk to the “protesters,” he was punched in his face and so was his girlfriend. One person fired a single shot from a shotgun into the back door of the home.
Luckily, Mensah was not seriously hurt neither was his girlfriend or the kids who were in the home at the time of the shooting and riot. Mensah released a statement on Facebook that reads, in part: “I was unarmed and tried to defend my property and the property of my girlfriend. We were both assaulted, punched, and ultimately shot at several times. A shotgun round missed me by inches. Not once did I ever swing back or reciprocate the hate that was being directed against me.”
Bad Leadership
Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride pledges to find a way to give security to Mensah during the current time of unrest. But McBride is partly responsible for the chaos himself, due to recommending that Mensah “transition from employment with Wauwatosa Police Department.” Add that on top of the current paid administrative leave suspension. It makes Mensah appear guilty of some sort of wrongdoing although no criminal investigation has concluded that.
Bitter Irony
The irony of “Black Lives Matter” chants coming from the very people terrorizing a black man at his home is not lost on Mensah nor is it lost on most sane people in the world. Black Lives Matter is now a battle cry and an excuse to get away with general lawlessness. BLM and ANTIFA are, at this point, no more than the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party. They use brute force and intimidation to get their way and to enact laws that certain politicians have been unsuccessfully lobbying for years. Sounds just like another acronym-alias group from the past.
