Five IRS agents out of Memphis, Tennessee have been accused of stealing thousands of dollars in PPP and EIDL loan money. The FBI says that these agents allegedly attempted to steal over one million dollars of money from the COVID relief programs. The IRS agents spent the money on lavish vacations, hair, nails, cars, and other material items. At least one of the agents did place some of his stolen money into an investment account. This news comes on the heels of the Biden administration announcing that they will hire 87,000 new IRS agents over the next few years.
